Objective : Assessment of the emissive performance of the plant, the group and greenhouse gas reduction plan (GHG)
The partneship with Trigenia began in 2015, when the company decided to begin the energy and environmental challenges by starting its own path of energy efficiency.

Through the Energy Audit and the implementation of customized energy efficiency projects, Trigenia has allowed the company to increase its competitiveness to obtain the ISO 50001 Standard.

The excellent results obtained have consolidated relationship with the paper company, and in 2021 Trigenia supported it with a Carbon Audit and the creation of a sustainability plan of the plant.

METHODOLOGY

Trigenia defined by the international reference standards UNI EN ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol the measurement and reporting of emissions:

  • GHG reporting.
  • Hot-spot emissivity of the production process and the supply chain.
  • Activity data and emission factors used for the calculation.

Through these data collected it was possible to define the reporting of emissions in a special inventory:

  • SCOPE 1 – direct emissions;
  • SCOPE 2 – indirect emissions from energy consumption;
  • SCOPE 3 – other indirect emissions.

RESULTS

It was possible to implement a long-term sustainability plan for the definition of actions to reduce the Carbon Footprint of the organization.

The identification of the Carbon Footprint has allowed to analize new technological solutions and interventions to reduce the environmental impact of the production process of the Company, in accordance with Community and European targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
